Day 67: You can HEAR me?!

This blog is a continuation to:
Day 62: There Must be Something Wrong!
Day 63: Keeping the Wheels Turning
Day 64: Holding on to Myself
Day 65: Fear of Sharing
Day 66: Valuing my Inner Space

When I was a kid I thought that humming sounds/songs was just like having thoughts, in terms that you were the only one who could ‘hear’ what you were humming, just like you are the only one who can ‘hear’ what you’re thinking.

I liked humming a lot in primary school as a form of entertainment in class and outside the class.

When the bell would ring as a signal that break –time was over, all the pupils would rush to their class’ designated spot, and within that spot – each student also had a specific place they had to be in. Everyone had to be in lines, in pairs and be quiet before the teachers would take us into our class. There was this one teacher who liked walking around with a hand bell and shake it very loudly in the ears of any pupils still talking / making a noise.

If there was still noise/whispers going on while they were walking around the lines before taking us to class, they’d tell us that we were going to have to keep standing right there where we were. Since I believed that humming was just like thoughts, and that no-one could hear it but me – I would hum very loudly while standing in the line, thinking that I was so clever that I could still make noise without anyone hearing it – and within that kind of ‘cheat the system’. I’d do my best to hum as loud as I could and then the teachers would inspect the lines and walk right by me without reacting to my humming or saying anything about it, and I felt so good about myself that I could make this noise without anyone noticing – like I had this secret space where I could still do whatever I wanted even if I couldn’t do it ‘out there’.

And since none of the teachers ever made a remark about my humming, I kept on believing that my humming was only heard by me (obviously the humming was audible, but I think that since most teachers really liked my older brother and sister and saw us as ‘good students’, that they didn’t bother to say anything about my weird behaviour lol).

Then, waaay later – well not that much later, maybe a few months, a year? – we were in Spain with the family during the holidays. Me and Maite were making our way to go downstairs because we were about to go somewhere or say hi to someone. As I was running/jumping off the stairs I was humming a Cranberries song and as we moved down the stairs Maite started the sing the song that I was humming.

And then it hit me.

Oh

My

God

She can hear me

LOL!

I went into complete shock/fear – and I asked her “why are you singing this song?” And then she’s all plainly responds “Well you were humming it”.

I was so freaked out – this meant that during all those years of my LOUD humming in many public places/occasions – everyone actually heard me?

Woah!

I felt so embarrassed lol.

Although this whole ‘humming’ point is quite innocent in itself, what I found interesting in this memory is how I related ‘humming’ to ‘thinking’ as something I can do in my own space to entertain myself, where I believed that even though there were ‘physical constraints’ (like being in class or having to be quiet somewhere) – I could still do what I want and enjoy the freedom of my mind.

So following from this, I will be working on this point of perceived ‘freedom’ in my mind as a place where I can ‘do what I want’ and so in essence ‘escape’ from reality.

Self Forgiveness and Self Corrective Statements to follow

Day 63: Keeping the Wheels Turning

This blog is a continuation to: Day 62: There Must be Something Wrong!

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to when I gain knowledge of an event which is going to happen to which I have assigned a negative energy charge as a ‘dislike’ – pre-occupy my mind with this point/event where every moment where I am not busy doing something and have ‘a moment for myself’, I go and look up this point within myself and upload the negative energy attached to it, where I “entertain” myself with the point and the various backchat linked to it and then feel crappy until I am doing something again that takes my mind off of it

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I must at any given time be experiencing something as energy – where if there is a moment of ‘nothingness’ I go and ‘fill in the blank’ by bring up something which I know I resist, just to have a form of experience as energy within and as me – so I can feel that I am ‘on track’ and ‘normal’ within always experiencing some form of energy

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to within those mornings where I am clear within waking up – question my ‘lack of experience’ and deliberately go and look for something to experience, where I then go and pinpoint whatever point of resistance may be in the near future, bring the point here and allow this point to occupy myself and saturate myself with the energy connected to it

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I need energy

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I require energy as experience to be able to function ‘normally’

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I require to wake up and have a particular experience as energy present/existent within me, to ‘set the tone’ of the day as a form of ‘guidance’ as to how I am going to be today and what I am going to do

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to believe that I need energy to tell me what to feel and then to according to how I feel, tell me what to do / how to behave myself for the day

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have abdicated self-responsibility within assigning direction to energy, where I expect energy to tell me how I am going to be and what I am going to do – instead of me directing and instructing myself within practical common sense and self-honesty

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to deliberately create friction within myself from the moment I wake up – where I believe that I require to have ‘some type of experience’, where I believe that I need to ‘define’ myself according to energy and ‘place’ myself for the day – and where the first thought/energy experience in the morning sets the tone/direction for the rest of the day – where whatever I do during my day will be ‘tainted’ by this initial energy as friction I experienced in the morning which determines what I do , how I do it and how I experience myself within doing it – complete self-enslavement

When and as I see myself accessing my ‘resistance point of the day’ within having a ‘moment for myself’ – where I am for a moment not doing anything/focusing on a particular task – I stop and I breathe – I see and realise that within those ‘in-between moments’ where for a moment I am done with something and about to move to the next point and have ‘open range’ in my mind as I am not focussed at any task at hand, I go and look for a point to entertain myself with for a moment as to charge myself energetically before moving on to my next task, I see and realise that this is me seeing an ‘open space’ which needs to be filled where I believe that I must at all times be pre-occupied and that I cannot have a ‘quiet’ moment within myself. And so I commit myself to in those moments where I go and deliberately access points of resistance as energy to occupy/entertain myself momentarily in-between doing things, to stop and to breathe and ground myself within and as my human physical body, and simply allow myself this moment of quietness

When and as I see myself noticing an ‘empty spot’ / ‘blank space’ within and as myself within not having any particular energetic experience, and reacting to this emptiness within and as fear – where I believe I MUST be experiencing something at all times, that this is what Life is about – I STOP and I BREATHE – I see and realise that I have defined living as experiencing some form of energy at all times which is an illusion I have adopted for myself and so I commit myself to disillusion myself within trusting myself here within and as breath, as my human physical body and show myself that living does not take place within one’s individual mind as energy – but in communal physical existence

When and as I wake up in the mornings and see/realise that there is nothing on my mind and find this alarming and immediately want to go and look for stuff to think/worry about – I stop and I breathe – I see and realise that this is just one of my many defense mechanisms as mind to ensure my continued survival as energy, which is me trapping myself into believing that I need/require energy to exist while me as my human physical body does not require mind energy – only the mind requires energy as friction to survive and so I commit myself to within those moments snap myself out of my fear/alarm –mode and to see/realise that I can be here within and as breath, as my human physical body and be perfectly fine without occupying myself with mind energies/experiences

When and as I wake up in the mornings just being here and then react to this within not having any energetic experience yet within me, within the belief that I MUST experience something in order to give my day ‘character’ and to ‘guide me’ into how I must conduct myself for the day – I stop and I breathe – I see and realise that this pattern is only limiting me where I limit myself for a whole day within the context/framework of a single thought/energy/emotion/feeling that I have in the morning, which then determines everything I do, how I do it and how I experience myself within it – which is just another way of saying that I am setting myself up to not be ‘here’ for the whole day, and select/set my ‘alternate reality’-experience for the day in which to entertain/distract myself from being here and taking self-responsibility – and so I commit myself to STOP right there in the moment of waking up and wanting to conjure up some experience and force myself to be HERE and direct myself within Self-Trust as I ground myself within and as breath and my human physical body

Day 3: Abroad

This is a continuation of my process of applying Self-Forgiveness on Words -- check my 'Day 1' for some more background.

Abroad

When reading the word 'abroad', I immediately got like a warm nice fuzzy feeling inside me -- I almost didn't notice it because it was very slight. So with this word I've given a positive connotation. The meaning of the positive connotation within myself refers to the point of ''abroad is better than home'' -- where 'abroad' is perceived to be better, more exciting and more 'free' than 'home' / 'here'.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have given the word 'abroad' a positive energy charge.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to enter a fuzzy warm feeling charge within myself upon reading the word 'abroad'

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have defined 'abroad' as a positive thing and within that, I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have defined 'home'/'here' within a negative context

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the 'warm fuzzy feeling' I get when faced with the word 'abroad', is really only my desire waking up, to escape my current condition, environment, situation and go ''out there'' where apparently my 'current struggles' do not exist

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that by favouring the word 'abroad' over 'home'/'here' I am in fact favouring escapism and zero-responsibility.

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the very reason why I would like to go 'abroad' is in order to not deal with my current reality and environment

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to desire going abroad as a point of entertainment and distraction instead of taking on my reality and my issues 'here' / at 'home'.

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that ''going abroad'' isn't even going to satisfy my desire to escape -- as wherever I go, I will be there, carrying my inner struggles with me.

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that my issues and struggles aren't place/location dependent -- but that they exist within and as me and thus wherever I go I will simply recreate them -- same points, different picture.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed the creation of a system where people rather escape their reality and issues and ''take off the load'' for a moment -- by traveling and going on holiday. Where no-one considers that when one wants to be away from home that maybe there's a problem that should be addressed. Why is one place better over an other? Why aren't all places equally supportive? This obviously indicates an issue of inequality.

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to support tourism as escapism within favoring 'abroad', and within that support a world of denial where no-one will look at the actual problem as one can simply just 'move out' for a moment and discharge all their worries to then simply go back and 'recharge' themselves full of shit -- creating a pattern of coming and going and never really finding a solution.

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that one person's holiday is another person's serving day -- where for one to 'relax' and 'have a nice time' other people require to be available to clean up after them all the time. Making their food, cleaning the room, doing the beds, doing the laundry -- all for the sake of survival in a world where the only thing that means anything is money.

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that the whole tourism and travel concept is really a concept of polarity -- where for one to have a fun time others need to slave away in order to provide the illusion that one can live without taking care of basic point of self-responsibility

When and as I see myself reacting within a positive energy charge association when hearing/seeing/reading the word 'abroad' -- I stop and I breathe. I see and realise that what I am participating is a pattern of escapism and attempting to avoid self-responsibility and accountability. Instead, I investigate what it is that I would like to 'run away' / 'hide' from and direct myself to sort these points out.

When and as I see myself day dreaming about ''other places'' -- I stop and I breathe. I bring myself back here within the realization that I cannot run nor hide from myself and use this moment of daydreaming as an opportunity to reflect and investigate on why I would want to be somewhere else -- and then correct these points within Self Forgiveness, Self Corrective Statements and Self Corrective Application

I commit myself to the creation and establishment of a world where there is no longer a need to go to 'better' places and where it is no longer felt to be needed to 'go away' from one's home environment due to the accumulation of stress as a consequence of survival

I commit myself to the creation and establishment of a world where people take responsibility for the points they face within everyday life so that we do not need to create an entertainment industry where others slave away in order for others to experience some delusional form of 'freedom'

I commit myself to the creation and establishment of a world where all places and all homes receive equal attention -- so that there is no situation of ''the grass is greener on the other side''. Instead the grass is evenly green everywhere  and people can be happy and satisfied wherever they live and wherever they are born

It is interesting how this 'small' and 'slight' fuzzy feeling inside unfolds into a whole construct and belief system with various implications. I almost wasn't going to work with these word because I deemed the reaction as 'too small' at first -- but then I considered that since there is something, it should be interesting to find out how it unfolds and what is implied within this feeling / construct.

Another interesting point is how abroad is constructed out of 'ab' and 'road' -- where by 'ab' stands for the point of 'leaving', 'removing', 'not present' (from derived from Latin) and then the word 'road' -- where going 'abroad' is one leaving one's 'path' and walking away from the road that needs to be walked.
