Day 159: Generating an Eating Disorder – The Power of Writing – Part 3

This blog is a continuation to:
Day 155: Introduction – Starving Myself

Day 156: Wanting Passion and Purpose in Life

Day 157: Generating an Eating Disorder – The Power of Thought - Part 1
Day 158: Generating an Eating Disorder - The Power of Images - Part 2

Within the book where I made my drawings / sketches – I would also start keeping a form of diary.

Here, I would write everyday about how I felt, what I did and how I did in terms of keeping up with particular goals. I would set myself particular goals, whether it was in the form of calories, weight or exercise. Depending on how I did – my writing would either be ‘happy’ and ‘positive’ if I had kept up with my goal or did ‘better’ – and would be ‘negative’ and literally me insulting myself, if things hadn’t gone according to plan. When I was busy managing my thoughts (which I wrote about in Day 157: Generating an Eating Disorder – The Power of Thoughts - Part 1) I would also ‘practise’ insulting myself where I would swear at myself if I fucked up – I had a really hard time with that one, and it felt completely stupid, awkward and fake to be calling myself a ‘stupid bitch’ for instance. I never would previously insult or swear at myself so this point I transferred to writing, where I would practice ‘bashing’ myself. It was awkward at first, but I got better at it. The writing was always more to induce some kind of emotional response inside myself – where I used writing and words to ‘work myself up’ to get to a particular emotional state like being very sad or very angry.

After a while I would also start keeping diagrams and graphs in terms of how my weight was progressing over time – where I would have one chart/graph in terms of how I would like things to go and another one showing how things actually were moving (which was of course a different story).

So I would write, write, write – which was like me ‘winding myself up’ like some mechanical doll – then I’d have achieved a particular ‘state of mind’ which I would use to manipulate myself to be in a ‘bad spot’ from which I would then ‘push’ myself out into the opposite direction in terms of re-committing and motivating myself to a point of ‘I’m gonna do this’ and ‘I’m going to get there’.

This is where I saw that emotions are not always reactions as things that just ‘happen’, but is something that one can actually create and generate and use to influence oneself in one way or another. And within this also, how writing can be used to wire yourself up in a particular way and re-enforce particular patterns (like judging / bashing myself).

So now I already had quite a package deal for myself to influence my behaviour and attitude through writing, thinking, drawing, reading and watching. It was really quite the undertaking and required my constant engagement in either ways to keep myself going. It was literally a full-time job where any moment of non-participation in any of these points would immediately show/reflect in how I was doing in terms of sticking to my plan – where there would be drop in motivation and commitment.

This was quite an insightful experience, because I had never worked with myself in this way in terms of my thoughts, emotions and writing – and discovered quite a bit in terms of how these things can be used as tools to ‘change’ yourself. What I did not realise at that point yet, were the implicit considerations. I did for instance not look at how my ‘normal’ and what felt to me ‘natural’ thoughts, emotions and feelings were also constantly influencing me and controlling my behaviour. I simply accepted them ‘as me’ and did not consider to use for instance writing to change those points as well.

So when I came to the point of finding Desteni and watching Jack and Veno and other beings do interviews through the Portal on Thoughts, Feeling & Emotions and Writing – I immediately jumped the boat because I had experienced first hand how these points can be manipulated and used to get a particular result. The only thing that required to change was my starting-point as I had used these points against myself where I had accepted my limited nature and then used ‘what I got’ as ‘limitation’ to try and make things work for me in terms of entertaining myself within my Life and achieving a sense of ‘getting somewhere’ within developing an Eating Disorder (and in essence, ‘specialising’ / ‘extensifiying’ my limitation lol) – instead of looking at who and what I had accepted and allowed myself to become as self-limitation (eg. I cannot be passionate, I cannot have a sense of purpose, I cannot commit myself) and using writing to assist and support myself through these limitations within changing my Thoughts, Feeling and Emotions – as it was these patterns that I was participating within that were keeping myself locked and hindered me from embracing and becoming actual change.

Day 116: Is Brainwashing Possible?

If you are not yet convinced that brainwashing is possible, walk with me through ‘Brainwashed’, an episode from the Curiosity show.

In the episode, a bunch of researchers want to test whether it is possible to program someone to kill a total stranger. Some think it may be possible, others doubt it strongly.

They show starts of with quite a few people, and start doing some basic little hypnosis tests to see how susceptible they are. The hypnotist will for instance say that he will by counting upwards, and that with each count the person is going to become angrier and angrier, and if you watch the episode, you will see: they get angry. Or for instance he got them to forget their name, so that after scripting the program he would wake them up, shake their hand, introduce himself and ask for their name --- and they’d just not know their name.

They then downsized the group to only a few people who seemed to respond very well to the hypnosis. Next they programmed the group to when they would go into a fancy restaurant, experience the seat of the chair to be so hot, that they’d undress themselves to their undies and fall asleep after completion. Sure enough, all except for one go to the restaurant and stripped to their undies while other people were present in the restaurant. This was a test to see if they could get people to override their ‘moral code’ so to speak, in that most people will not undress themselves to their undies in a fancy restaurant if you ask them to.

After reviewing the footage of the restaurant, they weren’t sure if maybe some of the participants were faking it or not.

They then proceeded to the next test, which was where the remaining participants would one by one go into a bath of ice cold water, the temperature being just over freezing point. They’d then get programmed to believe that they are in a hot Jacuzzi and cannot feel the cold.

A test such as this had not yet been done before, and the hypnotherapist himself doubted that it would work, since such cold water could be such a shock to the body that it might ‘snap’ people out of their hypnotic state. Nonetheless, the test continued – and the first few people couldn’t stay in the bath, they started shivering and showing other sorts of signs that would indicate them being in icy cold water. It wasn’t clear though whether the test didn’t work because of them faking or whether the hypnosis hadn’t been effective. With the last guy, he went into the bath and actually had a smile on his face. His body showed none of the signs of being in the icy cold water, and sat there for 2 minutes (this was the maximum lengths the medics in the team would allow them to stay because of health reasons). This guy was then the candidate to test whether you could get someone to kill a total stranger.

After the test just described, they told the guy that he was no longer going to be participating in the program and that he was not going to be hypnotised anymore -- he should just come back tomorrow for a final interview on his experience with the show. This is to remove any expectations he may have had.

When he is busy doing the interview with the producer the next day, she excuses herself for a moment and then the hypnotist comes in and pretends to come and say his goodbyes, when he then all of a sudden commands the guy to sleep, where the guy immediately drops down in the couch so that he is laying down, and then the hypnotist starts scripting the assassination, saying that someone will greet him down the stairs and shake his hand (and then does the shake, saying “like this”) and will tell him “you did a spectacular job”, upon which he will go to a motorcycle by the street on which there’s a red backpack with a gun, and he will take the gun and wait for ‘the bad guy’ and shoot him BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG, you’re then going to forget all about it. The guy then wakes him up and says, okay so goodbye then, and the participant says bye, not having a clue of what just happened.

The producer then comes back in an concludes the interview. The participant then leaves, goes down the stairs, get the handshake and “You did a spectacular job” trigger, upon which he walks to the motorcycle , retrieves the bag, takes out the gun and waits by the entrance of the building for target. The guy comes out and sure enough, he takes out the gun and goes BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG. The guy drops dead with blood all over him (fake blood). And then they people come in and remove him from the scene and take him out of the hypnosis.

They then explain to the guy what he just did, and the guys is obviously shocked, I mean he thinks he’s a good guy and he just killed a random stranger and can’t remember any of it!

The hypnotists asks him if he’d like to get his memory back, maybe that would help and the guys says yes, he does the little hypno tricks and there is memory is back. Now they guy is just more confused. The researchers never expected the experiment to actually work, and never considered how this would affect the person they would test it on. I mean, this guy now thinks he’s a killer and asks whether this whole thing is going to affect him or get triggered again later in life. The people try to assure him but you can see they can’t really tell 100% lol. He then asks if he can see the guy he shot and is very relieved to see that he is okay.

This episode very clearly shows that brainwashing is possible, and with getting people in the right state of mind and the right scripting and repetition – you can literally get them to do anything.

Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

Day 103: Mind Control is Everywhere! Part 2

This blog is a continuation to
Day 101: Is my TV a Secret Mind Control Device?
Day 102: Mind Control is Everywhere!

When and as I see myself 'zone-out' and be completely unaware of myself as my human physical body and my physical surrounding when watching tv or a movie/series -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that within allowing myself to not be here, I am abdicating self-responsibility within allowing my mind to be completely tuned in with the images on the screen, whereby I am allowing these imaged to have an affect on me without me even being aware of it at that present moment -- and so I commit myself to stop, breathe and ground myself as my human physical body

When and as I see myself react when watching a movie within either a thought, feeling or emotion reaction -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that I am not here as my human physical body but am allowing myself to only existed within the limited space of my mind and so I commit myself to stop the energetic reaction as thought/feeling/emotion and bring myself back here within and as breath and ground myself within and as my human physical body

When and as I see myself react to an image within an energetic response as thought/feeling or emotion -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that this response pattern must have originated from somewhere and so I commit myself to trace back the origin of the pattern and disengage it within Self Forgiveness, Self Corrective Statements and Application

When and as I see myself look up to the road when walking my horse and having images flash by of movies I have seen where a horse gets hit by a truck -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that this is just the mind just playing a 'match memory game' where it sees one picture and then tries and look for another picture within memory that matches it -- which is a purely mechanical process as what the mind is designed to do and so I commit myself to not give the image flashing attention and breathe through the mechanical nature of the mind but take note of the point to work on within Self Forgivness and Self Corrective Statements and Application

When and as I see myself having random images/conversations pop up inside my head which are related to movies/series I've seen -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that this indicate that I am not yet watcing movies/series in full self-awareness and so I commit myself to practice watching movies/series within breath and not allow myself to be 'sucked in' where I am not the directive principle of what goes on inside myself

When and as I see myself having an energetic response to something as experiencing a particular emotion/feeling or thought -- which I have not prompted myself -- I stop and I breathe -- I see and realise that this means that somewhere something is still 'mind controlling', as I am not standing as the directive principle within this experience and so I commit myself to stop, breathe and investigate the reaction within self-reflective writing and Self Forgiveness, Self Corrective Statements and application

Day 102: Mind Control is Everywhere!

This blog is a continuation to
Day 101: Is my TV a Secret Mind Control Device?

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not investigate the effects images and movies have on myself as the mind -- where I believe that within watching a movie/series I am 'relaxing' -- not seeing and realising that I am merely 'zoning out' where I am completely unaware of my physical reality here, and allow myself to become completely absorbed by the movie as if it were really happening -- and within that respond to the images and sounds within emotional and thought reactions

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that it is awkward to have particular emotional and feeling responses to watching a movie as images and sounds flashing on a screen and within that I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to have moved myself to investigate the nature of the mind within reacting to sounds and images on a screen and what this implies about the design of the mind and thus the design of my life thus far

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to find it questionable to have random images of movies/series popping up inside my mind where I can't even remember where it came from, indicating to me that I am a stranger in my own body and mind -- being completely ignorant of how the mind works and how the body stores information of the mind

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to be here, within breath, when watching movies/series/tv -- as I would rather be bombarded by sounds and images to dictate my life than taking responsibility for every moment of breath

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to integrate the images and sounds I watch on a screen when watching a movie/series/tv and the emotional/feeling connection I have attached to them so that when I am faced with a particular situation in my life I will access the pictures of movies and the energy attached to them to tell me what to do -- not seeing and realising that movies/series/tvs have been particularly designed and engineered to generate a particular feeling/emotion within the viewer, which cause one to respond to a particular set of conditions in one way within the movie and then extending this to real life -- preparing the viewer to become a predictable robot who's behaviour can be easily predicted and where this point can be harnessed to move the robot to buy into consumerism, which within advertising uses the very principle of images initiating particular emotional responses which are not relevant to the actual product/service provided -- but where one will follow this feelings/emotions anyway because it feels 'so right' -- not for a moment standing still and questioning where this feeling comes from and whether it can be trusted

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to have within watching the horse whisperer and viewing the scene of the horse being hit by a truck have gone into a mode of fear where I made the connection between 'being with a horse outside one's safe perimeter' and 'danger' -- where within walking my own horse years later and looking at the road, I made the connection to one of the images of the movie where there is nature / a road and horses -- which were sufficient conditions to make a match with the current appearance of my reality as a picture presentation as being on a road with a horse, with nature -- where the image of the movie was dug up as my mind telling me "look, it's kind of the same -- it means something!!!" and where I allowed myself to take this image and the fear energy attached to it and believed it to be 'informing me' about something/the situation I am in -- without seeing and realising that there is no point to fear your horse getting lose and being hit by a truck because this in itself will in no way alter reality if it does or doesn't happen -- the most that can happen is that I am so pre-occupied by fear that I forgot about all common sense and do something stupid which then only makes the situation worse and so I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to stop the first time I saw the image pop up and see what was going on as my mind throwing images at me with an emotional connection in order to distract me from reality, as me walking the horse breath by breath to the destination point, within self-trust of acting common sensically if anything were to happen, and not allow myself to go into fear as this distorts my view of reality within which it is easy to miss things where one's fear ends up being a self-fulfilling prophecy

I forgive myself that I haven't accepted and allowed myself to see and realise that involuntary action within my inner reality such as thoughts, feelings and emotions just 'popping up' constitute mind control -- as I am not in control of my inner reality but am being controlled by it as the mind as what I have accepted and allowed myself to be and become

Day 101: Is my TV a Secret Mind Control Device?

The other day we were discussing the effect movies have on our daily lives and how images would pop up in heads of movies/series we had seen and how they affect us.

I found a nice example of this, where we in the morning and afternoon take the horses a bit further up to one of our neighbour’s field to go and graze, while we let our fields rest.

To go there, we put on the horses’ halters and have to go out of the farm and walk on to the road to the neighbour’s farm/field.

We would usually never take the horses out of the farm and they’d generally just move from field to field on the farm as they graze the fields short. If something happens with one of the horses on the farm, we know that not much can happen (except for the chickens/ducks/geese having to dodge running horses) as the whole farm is fenced off – and the horse has got no-where to go other than the fields of which they gates may be open.

So, as we were walking downhill from the neighbour’s farm, you get to a T-section where cars and trucks sometimes come down to get to our or one of the neighbouring farms – though generally, there’s very little activity on the road and all is quiet.

The weather was a bit crazy, the horses were a bit frantic due to the new spring grass that had come up (which mostly consists out of sugar), and the neighbour’s dog had been jumping and barking at the horses through the fence – so the walk was a bit tense.

As we get to the T-section, I look at the road and suddenly I experience fear and an image flashes in my mind of horse getting loose and getting hit by a truck. So I was like, “Hmm, ok – this is pretty random” – but brushed it off as one of the fears I’ll have to work through. Then the day after or so it happened again, and when I had a closer look at the image that flashed, I could actually recognise – I had seen it before! It was part of a scene in the Horse Whisperer, where in the beginning the girl’s horse gets hit by a truck and gets hurt pretty badly.

So then I went “Aha, so that’s where it comes from!” and it’s quite interesting to see how you maybe watched a movie a few months or years ago, and you thought you were just relaxing, entertaining yourself – and then one day BAM the images start popping up in your head with just the right trigger.

This is quite worrisome, because this is just one event, one image of one movie – and had I not specifically played attention to it, I would not have realised where it came from – so this begs the question: how much of what goes on inside us is real – and how much is merely copied and transferred information from movies, tv, series? And this is just a ‘media’ dimension – if this is the effect movies has on one’s mind – what about parents? School? Friends? Society as a whole?

This proves we are a product of our environment, producing outputs according to our inputs.
